Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ToolkitHQ (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use our website at toolkit-hq.com (“the Site”). ToolkitHQ is operated by Thomas William Diego Asenjo (ABN 25 303 258 251), an individual sole trader trading as ToolkitHQ, based in Victoria, Australia. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles voluntarily.

1. What information we collect

We do not require accounts and we never ask for your name, email, or password. The Site is a portfolio of calculators and tools designed to work without any signup.

  • Calculator inputs and results are processed entirely in your browser. They are not transmitted to or stored on our server.
  • Calculation history and preferences (such as theme and recent results per tool) are stored in your browser’s localStorage on your own device. This data never leaves your device, and you can clear it at any time.
  • Invoice generator data (business name, client details, line items) stays in your browser and is never sent to our server.
  • Technical data (such as IP addresses) is processed by Cloudflare, our CDN and analytics provider. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless and aggregate-only — it does not track individual users.
  • Advertising cookies may be set by Google AdSense on pages where ads are displayed. You can manage your ad settings at Google Ads Settings.
  • Payment metadata is processed by Stripe when you purchase Pro access. We do not see or store your full card number — Stripe handles card data as our payment processor. We receive a transaction confirmation and store your checkout email and a Pro entitlement flag (via a cookie) to unlock premium features. To restore Pro on another device, you enter your email and we look it up in Stripe’s customer records — we do not retain that email on our own server beyond the lookup.
  • Correspondence — if you email us, we retain your message and our reply for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry.

2. How we use information

  • To operate and secure the Site.
  • To display relevant advertising via Google AdSense on free tools.
  • To process Pro upgrade payments through Stripe.
  • To respond to enquiries sent to our contact email.

We do not sell personal data to third parties. We do not use your data to build individual profiles.

3. Cookies and local storage

  • Cloudflare Web Analytics — cookieless, aggregate-only. No individual tracking.
  • Google AdSense — may set cookies on free-tool pages to serve and measure ads. You can opt out via Google’s Ads Settings or your browser’s cookie controls.
  • Calculator history and theme preference — stored in your browser’s localStorage, never transmitted to our server. Clearable by you at any time.
  • Pro entitlement — a cookie (“tkhq_pro”) is set after a successful Pro purchase so the Site knows to unlock premium features. This cookie contains no personal data — just a flag.

4. Third parties

Each third party operates under its own privacy policy and acts as a data processor on our behalf for their specific function.

5. Data retention

  • Calculator inputs and results are not retained server-side at all.
  • Cloudflare log data is retained per their policy.
  • Stripe transaction records are retained per Stripe’s policy.
  • Email enquiries are retained as long as needed to respond.

6. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you have the right to:

  • Access personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Make a complaint about how we handle your information.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

7. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The child support calculator is intended for adults navigating custody matters.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
